About FAW Trucks
The first automobile brand in China
FAW Trucks is the commercial vehicle brand of FAW Group Corporation, headquartered in Changchun, Jilin province. The First Automobile Works in China was established in 1953; the first domestic truck, the CA10, rolled off the production line in 1956; the one millionth FAW truck followed in 1983 and the eight millionth in 2021.
FAW states a vision of being “the proudest commercial vehicle company, the most trustworthy commercial vehicle brand” and a mission to be the “No.1 in China, first class in the world” provider of intelligent logistics solutions. The J7 Intelligent Factory in Changchun is the first national demonstration intelligent-green factory in China.

How FAW works
Quality first, then everything else
Testing standard
A complete vehicle testing standard of 370 major items, covering more than 95% of users' working conditions and the commercial vehicle user's need of 1.5 million km.
Manufacturing
Six major process lines: stamping, welding, painting, framing, general assembly and testing.
Powertrain
FAW independently controls engine, transmission and axle. Heavy-duty: 8 to 16 litres, 350 to 750 PS, gearboxes of 1,300 to 2,700 N·m and 435 / 457 / 498 / 300 axles of 11 to 16 tonnes.
